H2i is excited to welcome five AIMS alumni into six-month Data Science Fellowship placements with three H2i-supported ventures: Grow Kinesis (Nigeria), Kosmotive (Rwanda), and UzimaNexus (Kenya). Now in its second year, the AIMS-H2i Data Science Fellowship connects talented data scientists with viable growth health ventures from across Africa, to tackle real-world challenges in AI, software development, data analytics, and digital health. The program strengthens venture capacity while providing fellows with hands-on startup experience, mentorship, and professional development.
The fellowship officially launched with a joint onboarding workshop hosted by AIMS in early July, bringing together fellows and ventures to align project goals, expectations, and deliverables before project implementation begins.

It strengthens the partnership with H2i by providing host ventures with access to talented mathematical scientists who contribute to business growth,” said Dr. Charles Lebon Mberi Kimpolo, Director of AIMS Industry Initiative. AIMS values partnering with H2i in developing and connecting exceptional talent with start-ups, which is a critical pillar for advancing entrepreneurship and innovation across Africa.
