Medicine by Design hosted its annual Building a Biotech Venture Pitch Competition on March 27th. The competition marks the end of another successful year of programming in partnership with H2iPrecision Medicine Initiative (PRiME) and Talk Boutique. H2i would like to extend congratulations to all finalists, and to the two selected winners: Twenty-nine Therapeutics and Re:Pair Genomics!

In its fourth year, the Building a Biotech Venture program supports teams working on innovations related to regenerative and/or precision medicine. Participants take part in a series of workshops and receive tailored mentorship throughout the program, and showcase their development-to-date in the culminating pitch competition.

This year’s pitches were evaluated by expert judges Suman Rao, Robin Quirk, Mathew Platt and Ella Korets-Smith. Twenty-nine Therapeutics took home the top prize of $25,000 in research funding, and H2i venture Re:Pair Genomics took home the second prize of $10,000.
