Deep Breathe Secures FDA Clearance for Groundbreaking AI Lung Ultrasound Diagnostic

Deep Breathe Inc. has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) that autonomously assesses lung health from ultrasound images. (Learn more)

UzimaNexus Joins 2025 Techstars + Cardano Founder Catalyst Cohort

UzimaNexus, a venture tackling Africa’s fragmented healthcare access and data challenges, has been selected for the 2025 Techstars + Cardano Founder Catalyst Cohort. The venture will level-up their businesses through entrepreneurial masterclasses, pitch coaching, mentorship, and collaboration with ambitious, like-minded peers. (Learn more)

Vas MedTech Advances Pilot Programme with $300K UTF Investment

Vas MedTech has secured $300K from the University Technology Fund (UTF) in South Africa and an angel investor to move its FlexiGyn platform from proof to pilot. The investment supports a human-factors pilot and embeds DigiGyn workflow tools. In October, the team kicked off a co-design sprint with The Innovation Hub and Mediclinic Victoria specialists to map workflows, integrate ethics and privacy standards, and plan the mid-2026 pilot. FlexiGyn brings uterine health checks to local clinics, making advanced diagnostics more accessible to women across Africa.

Re:Pair Genomics Reaches EPIC 2025 Finals in Hong Kong

Re:Pair Genomics was selected as one of the top 12 finalists, and top 4 in the Digital Health Tech track, at the Elevator Pitch International Competition (EPIC) 2025 in Hong Kong, out of 1,200 global applications. The team received US$10K in prize money and gained significant exposure on an international stage. (Learn more)

Pathcore Launches PathcoreScholar 2.2 to Improve Pathology Training

Pathcore released PathcoreScholar 2.2, a browser-based diagnostic simulator for pathology training and continuing education. The update adds real-time reporting, smarter grading, and direct tracking of learning outcomes, while improving stability and security.
