Lahav Gil is the founder and former CEO of the Toronto-based Medtech innovation firm, Kangaroo Group (ISO 13485), which he built into a national brand and recently sold to Starfish Medical. He is passionate about meaning, loves Innovation Culture, values-based Leadership, transparency, and awareness. Lahav has deep experience in Medtech product development, design and business strategies. He has founded/co-founded several companies and has accompanied many Canadian startups on their journey from napkin to launch, critically contributing to their investability and clinical-commercial readiness. He has contributed to over 200 technology product launches and to game-changing innovations for companies such as IMRIS, FIO, CREO/Kodak, fSona, Cellaegis, XOR, Ultrasonix, Exact Imaging, Sciex, and others. Under his leadership, Kangaroo offered services, infrastructure, and incubation-investment partnerships to Canadian Medtech startups and entrepreneurs for over 15 years. Currently, together with private investors, he is building an innovative Medtech incubator-accelerator. Lahav also works as a mentor with early-stage startups on productization, building organizational capacity, accelerating clini-commercial readiness, and funding.
