GMCA: Business Fundamentals (formerly GMCA mini-MBA) is a 10-week online course designed to provide graduate students and post-docs with an introduction to fundamental business concepts.

The Graduate Management Consulting Association (GMCA) hosts an annual 10-lecture course series in collaboration with H2i with a focus on providing graduate students and post-doctoral fellows with:

  • A grounding in fundamental business concepts
  • The opportunity to learn from business experts
  • The chance to apply this new knowledge directly to business cases

Each lecture discusses a different business concept and/or provide an opportunity for group discussion. Taught by industry professionals with diverse backgrounds, this course is based off of concepts from the popular book by Steven Silbiger “Ten Day MBA”.

At the end of the course, students are also given the opportunity to participate in a case competition. This will be judged by consultants & industry professionals.

This 10 lecture series and case competition runs annually between January and February. Classes are usually scheduled between 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Monday/Wednesday or Friday). Please note that the current course is fully online.

A detailed schedule/syllabus will be provided to successful applicants.
