Sophie is passionate about research translation and knowledge mobilization, and rethinking how we design, deliver and evaluate healthcare services. Viewing health innovation through a public health lens, she is interested in how the collaborative translation of ideas can create lasting health impact. Sophie has worked within operations, strategic communications, project management and program development capacities in healthcare, academic, non-profit and start-up environments alike. In addition, she has worked frontline roles, from intake and case coordination to peer support facilitation. Having been a part of the founding and leadership team of a mental health focused start-up, she has unique insight into the journey and challenges of taking ideas in healthcare from conception to scale. She holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology from McGill University, and a Master’s in Public Health & Social Policy from the University of Victoria.
